medication policy

Miracle Lake Christian Training Center is not a medical or psychiatric facility and some medications are prohibited because of their mood-altering effects, their high rate of abuse among individuals in recovery, or their incompatibility with the program. If you have any questions about the allowed or prohibited medications below, ask the Admissions Coordinator.

NOT ALLOWED MEDICATIONS:

  • Certain mental medications are prohibited. Please discuss with our Admissions Coordinator on an individual basis. (We are simply not equipped to handle all mental disorders).

    *Not allowed to stop taking mental medications in order to come to Miracle Lake*

  • ALL CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS.

ALLOWED MEDICATIONS:

  • Non narcotic life sustaining medications such as cholesterol, heart, blood pressure etc…

  • If a person is taking multiple life sustaining medications that is related to a previous stroke, heart attack or any other life threatening medical problem, then prior of intake you will be required to have a physical preformed by your family doctor or clinic. Although, a required physical will be determined through Admissions Coordinator after the phone screening process.

  • Students’ sponsors or families can purchase OTC Medications such as NSAID’s (Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen) Aspirin and non-drowsy Allergy Medications. Only Miracle Lake Staff can receive and distribute all medications.
